Hamburger Day

When I was in third grade, my teacher wrote on the board: "Hamburger Day. Lettuce Ketchup." My eight-year-old self was so proud when I realized the pun--Mrs. Pritchard was giving our class time to "catch up" on homework.
In a similar spirit, today's post will catch up on my life and my efforts to see life through rosy spectacles.
Spring term summed up in one word: BUSY. Nine credits, volunteering at the MTC, working, and making new friends. I loved my Chinese film class, but my greatest victory was that I managed an A in Western Political Philosophy.
Summer term in a word: FUN. The whole family drove up to see me and my sister. It was awesome! We spent a week here in Utah: Stadium of Fire, chocolate-covered cinnamon bears, the Bean Museum, the Bookstore, bowling, hiking, watching Condorman. Then we went up to visit grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins in Idaho, where we played baseball, made s'mores, went swimming, got sunburned, went fishing, and indulged in the famous potato ice cream. The best part of the vacation was being with my family. I loved having time to talk with my parents, laugh with my brothers and sing with my little sisters. I am so grateful for my family and I want to be with them forever. I'm so grateful that I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and that I know that through temple ordinances, families really can be together forever.
There are two weeks left in the term. Two weeks before my life becomes busy again. How can I take advantage of this sweet time?
